    Fallout 3 crashing thread

I'm having similar problems. I went an hour without crashing, and now I can't get past a certain area. The area loads fine, but when I take a few steps forward, I crash to desktop. It's not at the same exact place or time for each crash either. I did the standard upgrade drivers, reboot, etc...

    World of Goo

Agreed. Especially about the last level of chapter 1. Fucking Jenga with eyeballs. It took me like half an hour to figure out how to beat it.

    NWN 2 question

I played both the original and the expansion, and although you're supposed to be the same character in both campaigns, there were only a few references where this matters. They're basically unrelated but it's set up so you can use a single character through the main campaign then the expansion...

    Suggestions for low power games?

Deus Ex should be able to run well on your machine. It's less of a twitch game than most FPSs, so it wouldn't be so bad to play it on a small keyboard. Plus it's an awesome game. Also, there's all the old 2D RPGs, like Fallout, Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, etc.

    Upgrade CPU or GPU

I'm currently looking at upgrades, mostly because of Fallout 3 coming out in a month. Right now I have an E4300, 1.8 GHz and an 8800 GT, 512 MB, which could both use a boost. I'm looking to spend about $200-250, so it looks like I'll only be able to get one upgrade, so which do you think it...

What do you guys think of the Acer AL2216WBD ?

For me, at least, I just want to be able to play old, fixed-resolution games like Starcraft or Fallout without them being stretched out. It definitely wouldn't be for something like web browsing.

What do you guys think of the Acer AL2216WBD ?

The games will act the same way. They just change resolution to whatever they use (like 640x480) before opening. What kind of scaling are you using? For Nvidia cards, you can check in the Nvidia control panel, and there should be an option to scale with fixed aspect ratio, that sometimes works...

What do you guys think of the Acer AL2216WBD ?

That's disappointing, I was really looking forward to getting this monitor, but this is a deal-breaker for me.

What do you guys think of the Acer AL2216WBD ?

What happens when you put it into non-native resolutions, like 800x600? Does it stretch the image, or put black bars on the side to preserve the aspect ratio?

    Acer AL2216Wbd 22" -- $199!! Office Depot

Was it stretched out, or were there black bars on the sides of the screen to preserve the aspect ratio?
