Okay one year later....is Centon still a good memory choice? Our local Compusa has a rebate special of 1GB PC3200 DDR SDRAM for $75 (after $35 rebate) right now.
I'm wanting to upgrade my 512mb (2 x 256) ram I've got now. Hopefully it'll fix my 6600 GT graphics card issue I'm having when...
ahh yes, we'll definitely do that. These pics were taken today after just getting the machine to work. We'd been having fits, and had finally figured out how to get it to boot up. So, we've still got more connections to set up (the led panel, etc), so we'll clean up on the wires too.
Is...
I need some help please. :D I've got an Asus P4SD-LA motherboard that came with the HP Pavilion 716n desktop computer I got 3 years ago. I just put it into a new case cause I needed a stronger power supply (from upgrading to widescreen LCD plus graphics card) and it wouldn't fit in the...
I dunno if it is or not. We don't have a mac'd out machine, so dunno why it would have gotten too much current (or whatever the term is). It's a 300 watt psu that we've used for about 5 years, no upgrades to the machine.
About the mobo, we didn't notice any burn spots, which we thought was...
Wondering if y'all think that this could be the cause of one of our computer's mobo's crashing? This is the connector from the power supply unit.
When we had a diagnostic done after the computer wouldn't boot up, the guy didn't mention any problem with the psu. Dunno if he noticed this...
I'm looking for a new case and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the Raidmax RX-9 ATX-911wb case? I seem to be seeing mixed reviews (& here) on it. The main reason I got it (bought locally at Fry's) was because of where the usb controls are, which are conveniently located on top...
:D Thanks so much for all your help dchrsf. I really appreciate it! I'll look into the psu you linked and will then have to make the choice. Who knew buying a new LCD monitor would cause so many issues? ;)
Here's a question I've got on the 6600 GT card I just bought, under system requirements, it states: "Intel Pentium 4 Prescott class processor or higher (LGA775 processor package) or AMD Sempron/Athlon"
I've got an Intel P4 2.40HGz with hyper-threading technology
Dunno about the Prescott...
There is a fan on the existing video card (geforce fx 5200 ultra) or do you mean the computer heatsink? Sorry, I don't know about all this sort of stuff and just learning. It's interesting you ask because ever since having this computer it's always been hot. I pull out my cd's and they're hot...
Thanks for all the help you guys.
I paid $132 for my card. I know it's not top of the line and there's better, but it'll be better than what I've had for the past 3 years (geforce fx 5200 ultra, 128mb, agp).
Just as long as it works with 1680x1050 native resolution in DVI. ;)
