Canceling the credit card is a bad idea, just keep it open with a $0 balance and put the card at the bottom of the sock drawer.
Having additional unused credit is not a bad thing!
I think the big winners on this price mistake were those who ordered multiple 1 item shipments (5 orders of 1, or 5 orders of 5).
I made the mistake of ordering only one order for 5 bundles. It would appear the shipping has been fairly random with maybe 10% of the orders shipping with no...
Didn't you hear? Dell canceled the hot deals (surge + crappy software + Cruzer micro usb 1gb => all for $9)
I spit in their general direction. Props to those who actually got it shipped to them, mine was canceled...
"Even more exciting is that ASUS says they have found a way to unlock up or down most Conroe chips. This will be a significant new feature that is highly desired by many Core 2 Duo buyers. It didn't take but a few minutes for us to get the new BIOS flashed and a Core 2 Duo chip mounted to check...
Backstory - bought a e6400 xps 410 for dirt cheap off the outlet site. Figured I would just buy a new MB and overclock it at some point. But once I tore into the Dell case I actually liked the setup and wondered if I might be able to just get a bit more juice out of this MB's p965 chipset...
You might want to search around for the pin configuration on the dell motherboard power plug in. I have heard that some of the power connectors are actually wired differently(even though they look the exact same as a "named" board) so that you have to use a Dell PSU & MB together. I read that...
Are you finding that the HD shows up as 320 once you turn on the computer... or does the box say "320"
I got motivated enought to install mine in the case.. but I have not plugged it in yet :)
Got it yesterday. Pretty darn quick shipping! Now I just need to get motivated enough to install it.
Forgot to add - It's a Maxtor (not a re-badged Seagate)
Anyone still checking out this for deals might want to look towards the Dell small business thread that recently started - most of the new computers listed on that thread compete with the refurb ones selling at the outlet!
The deals have cooled off at dell outlet...there was a 1-2 day period where their were $350 - $450 e6300 computers consistently... now the cheapest is $550 if you are lucky :(
Like the prior poster said... check back around Christmas!
(I actually think that the motherboards that went out...
Good question on the power supply - not 100% sure if it would fit in the case, but I am sure it would work even if it did not fit. Just make sure it has the correct attachments, I think power supply connectors to the motherboard changed a year or 2 back (industry wide).
You could also plug...
I hate you guys... I really wasn't looking for another computer.
