    I once had the same problem, something about a cmos error at start up.It happened when i tried updating my bios :\ well anyway i couldnt fix it so i sent the mobo back for a replacement.

    I wouldn't say it was hard, just install it with the mobo out of the case. Spread a small amount of thermal paste on the cpu with an old credit card or thin bit of plastic :D
