Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I used the registry thing a few versions of the driver ago. I didn't get the error nearly as much as you, but it did hide the problem. I suspect it was a bad stick of RAM as I no longer randomly crash from games either.
It's not recommended to have both drivers installed on the system at the same time. Uninstall both drivers and then reinstall one or the other. Or download Driver Sweeper and run it in safe mode. See if that helps.
I'm wondering what IRC clients people think is the best? I'm a long time mIRC user but I think it's time to change it up.
Edit: Suggest free clients only please.
Yes, they will work. There isn't much difference except I think the Pro has better sound, extra USB and SATA hookups, and I think a reset switch on the PCB.
If you don't have an extra HDD laying around to store files on, I'm not sure a 120gb ssd drive is going to be enough storage so think...
While there is no doubt the prices are up, I can't fathom them going up much more at this same rate. There are plenty of consumers that can wait this out, and there is definitely a price point that will sufficiently lower demand.
If the SSD manufacturers are smart they will take advantage...
Flashing in Windows is definitely more risky than any other method. There are too many variables in a Windows environment for me to have confidence that their QA caught all the issues.
