If you end up with a game that doesnt support the 21:9 on a 34UM95, worse case scenario you play it at 2560x1440 and it's the exact same size as your 27" 1440p monitor. I love my 34UM95 and couldn't imagine anything else at this point.
yeah, its at that resolution only. Although I ran it at 50Hz until my new video card arrived and it was perfectly fine. At 30Hz it felt janky but at 50 it was fine.
I am currently running an old 1920x1200 dell ips next to it. It matches up better than my 1080p 24" due to the shape. I plan on getting a korean IPS 27" 1440p to replace it as soon as I find one without god aweful bezels.
If you have a costco, buy eneloop rechargeables and be done with it. The charger that comes in the kit is fine, if you want fancier then get you a La Crosse Technology charger off amazon for about $50. Done and Done.
Yeah my big wood desk doesn't have much of a lip on the back and the previous triple monitor arm didn't do it any favors. Going with wall mounted and freeing up the desk space.
Congrats. I was looking at used, but when Newegg put it on sale for $750 that was the same price I was seeing for used. I love the screen, but the stand is lacking. Plan on wall mounting eventually, but not sure which mount i'll go with yet.
I have tried some of the older games, but I...
I just made this decision and went with the 970. Just too many issues with the 290x drivers online. I understand the memory issues, but when it comes down to it I decided that I would rather bump the textures down to only "high" as opposed to "Ultra" if the memory usage gets above 3.5 GB than...
Yeah just completed my new build with it. I have the R4 in my NAS box and absolutely loved it. The R5 is a incremental step up. Love the quietness of them both.
Yeah its a personal preference. I used a triple monitor setup for a while and really hated the bezels. They really bothered me, even though they weren't that thick. Something about black lines breaking the info. Since switching to the 34UM95 I am really enjoying it. I still have a 24"...
1440x900 19" ? I am not sure that $50 extra is necessary at that resolution.
Something like this would be more than enough.

Dusted off the old Dell 24" 1920x1200 because it fits much nicer next to the new LG compared to the wider 1080p screens. Eventually ill replace it with a 1440 27" with smaller bezels.
I usually go with whatever motherboard is the best value. Have had several MSI boards with no problems, but I never really liked their software bundles. I have run ASROCK boards in all of my media centers without any problems what so ever. Buying an ASUS board for my new X99 system, not...
Got my 34UM95 from newggs $750 deal yesterday. I have a dead pixel in the upper left hand corner and minor glow from from the bottom corners. I cant see the glow in anything other the complete dark, and since I am not a picky person it will likely not cause me to deal with exchanges through...
Yeah, I pulled this trigger on this first thing this morning when the email hit my inbox. Was toying with buying one for $700 used so i'm glad I waited.
As for the cas rating, i'd go for the faster speed. Everything ive seen with DDR 4 shows better performance at higher speeds vs cas. There was a post with the specific formula that showed it didn't take much increase in speed to overcome the reduction in cas latency, but i don't have the link...
