Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
foobar is great for large music collections, it won't be as pretty as mediaportal, but with the recently improved media library, facets ui, and search features, it is pretty easy to find the song you want in a large collection. You might want to do some searching in their forums too as there...
To keep the file size down further, with AutoGK you can compress the audio into VBR MP3 format as well (instead of AC3 which is bigger). You'd lose any 5.1 / Dolby related things but still have quality sound.
Just wanted to say I've really enjoyed each video review you've put out so far - they're very informative and interesting to watch. They really give an interesting perspective on the evaluations that the articles might not portray (ie: physical size, use, commentary, "observing tests"). Some...
Good call on the DS2H, I'll definitely go for that instead. And thanks for the advice on the NSK2480 - I'll definitely choose that based on the cheaper fans likely being ran at high speed 24/7. Gotta love the [H].

It comes with a crap 280 watt power supply. But for $48 CDN, its hard to pass up.
Would I be running a serious sound risk if I went with that over...
Pretty much the exact same build I'm going to be doing except I'm going for a much cheaper case, less hard drive capacity and a blu ray drive instead.
Ulrezaj, so you can use the scythe mini ninja as a fanless cooling solution for the 4850e?
I have the 5000+ BE right now and am pretty happy with it.
One thing to keep in mind, you'd probably have to upgrade your RAM as well since the Phenom is 1066. So you should factor that cost in as well.
I figured out my fluctuating frequency problem, just a simple bios setting for automatically underclocking my CPU when its not being used to save power / heat.
I have zero problems adjusting my multiplier on the DS-5 board. I can adjust it manually through the BIOS and also successfully...
I went with the Gigabyte 790FX DS5 board last night with a 5000+ black edition. Just got it all setup and installed last night, pretty painless process. The massive Scythe cooler took a tiny bit of tinkering to get installed but it worked out well and fits great on the board.
One strange...
