Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Yeah, 43 as my place for TV won't allow more unfortunately (rented apartment, I can't remove the whole wardrobe with TV-space just to get bigger tv).
And, well, both are unavailable in Poland :P
To make a small update and a farewell to this topic, Philips stated that this will not be taken under warranty (neither burn in nor the dot), but my local retailer happily gave me back my money. I'm going for 24 + 27 + 24 setup instead of big 43, hoping that the 40+ technology will be there one...
While sending my screen for a replacement I’ve sent an official question to philips about the issue…
And yeah, in a professional screen that is advertised to be used for graphics (at least on the advertisements) it’s acceptable to have a group of ~20 pixels being darker than the rest of the...
kindasmart did you have any image retention on this screen? You can try to look for such issues after a full day of work on gray background, or using sites like LCD Image Retention Test
Yeah, seems so - I saw it few days ago and it stays the same size and in the same way darkens the colors that are under it... kind of a small defect that happens from time to time.
Good thing I saw it in the first 14 days of usage - because i can get an instant replacement then (UE laws)
Pretty interesting, I re-run this test after 10 days of high usage (around 8-10 hours) and.. after 2 minutes there are no marks at all, while in the very beginning I had literally burn ins after 15 seconds of showing the grid.
So that would confirm my suspicitions about first hours of usage...
Oh boy, I'm so jealous - mine gets faint impression after 15 seconds of showing those on screen :p
Anyhow, I called both philips and retailer - due to the "dot" I guess my screen will get replaced, and the burn in... they suggest that NOT running 48 hours straight (having some breaks in...
Hey guys,
I called Philips once again to ask about differences between /00 and /27 and it seems... that it's just a region code :D
About burn in - I got a whole bottom bar burned in (you can't really do anything about it, this will stay static most of the day) and a dot in the middle of the...
Good news is that actually Philips has put back the instructions on site - but for /27 model only, while on Polish site there are both /00 and /27 models.
I'm gonna try to ask for a replacement for the /27 and ask if there are any differences on monday...
Official statement from support - "They have new website and cannot put it back"
Unofficial from somwehere on pages of this topic - they couldn't keep up with production or something like that
My assumptions - RMAs and overall problems with this screen.
I couldn't live with it because it's...
Wow, that's pretty interesting, BOTH models disappeared from Polish website, and they did so from US too. You can still find the /00 on Austria philips website and a few others too, but not on those I linked above anymore.
WTF is going on actually?
