Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks for the reply! I don't actually use more than one, I just noticed this one day accidentally. I normally use HWMonitor which you're now saying is inaccurate most of the time.. :( Well, if that's the case i'll uninstall that and use real temp.
Thanks again!
Hi Gang,
Here I have 3 apps showing 3 different min, max, current temps. How am I supposed to know which is correct??
This has got me confuzzled.
Anyone have an idea on which to trust?

Danny, would that RAM be sufficient for OC to 4ghz or do I need something a bit better?
I've decided to get everything you mentioned as well as the ocz agility 2 120gb and a coolermaster haf x case.
So I can concentrate on talking to my buddy in Bad Company 2 and blowing things up, while at the same time blocking out my girlfriend and the sounds and music of The Sims 3!
Thanks Danny! I'll definitely be looking in to getting what you've suggested. That setup will allow for stable o/c to what seems to be the norm of 4ghz for that chip? With the added savings I could probably grab an ssd and throw a fresh install on there.
Any recommendations on SSD's?
Thanks...
I checked out those articles and of course you're right. It doesn't seem like a good choice in terms of dollar per fps. Sorry I also haven't formatted in awhile but I tend to keep my OS in good working condition with not a ton of apps and no strange ones either. Fairly basic machine for...
Thanks for the reply Danny Bui!
The setup looks half decent. However is that far greater than what I have now? Would it not be beneficial to go with a i7 930 or 950 and say a gigabyte ud3r? My issue with PC's and it's always been an issue, is buying something that lasts longer than 6 months...
I came to this site roughly two years ago to build a new PC. My build went very well and I've been very happy with my end result. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, that I figured why not ask these experts again!
So here I am, looking to upgrade. My current system is not terrible...
Hi,
Now that my system is up and running and stable. I was wondering how far I can push this.
I have the xigmatek s1283 cooler. Currently I have it at 3ghz at 9x334 with nothing else touched and seems to be running fine. I was wondering if i wanted to crank this to 3.4 or 3.6 is it...
