Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
My motherboard is awful for overclocking, as the MOSFETs apparently tend to overheat, so I haven't bothered, nor will I bother to, overclock my processor. Do you still have the 4890s?
My budget is abysmally low right now (<$100). I was really just looking for an idea of what's on the market, but I didn't feel like putting in all the research I did the last time I bought a card.
Alright, thanks for all your help. I don't think I'm quite prepared to drop another $200 on a card right yet, but I now have this thread as reference for when I am. I'm deeply saddened by the fact that the card I payed ~$190 for a little over a year and a half ago now has half the value.
Alright, thanks! I'm gonna try and snag a 4890 for <$75 because I am poor at the moment, but if I manage to get a job, before then, I'll probably look at the 6xxx series. What are the equivalents for Nvidia cards? I really don't keep up with them at all.
Firstly, hello everyone!
Secondly, I am looking to upgrade from a 4890. What would give me the most bang for my buck? I play at 1920 x 1080, and am looking for a bit of a bump up, as newer games are starting to slow down. I was looking at a 4890 CF, because 4890s can be had for pretty cheap...
