I do have a mini DisplayPort plug on the laptop... would that change anything. There was no change when trying all other HDMI ports btw -

I just want it to work. 4k would be nice obviously, but I dont use it as a primary monitor. Im using it the same way I would to mirror. Mirroring wirelessly would be ideal since its a laptop, but that hasnt worked for me either since I updated to W10. -

My initial guess is that it is not hdmi2.0, it's a 2013 model so I would think not. The HDMI cable Im using is this. My initial thought is that the laptop not being HDMI2.0 shouldnt make a bit of difference would it, surely theyre backwards compatible? -
