Are you using sata or nvme m2 drives? One of the m2 slots only supports nvme drives not sata drives the other one supports both types

Just make sure that the USG has the features avaialble that you want. It is not as full featured currently as the ER series at least if you are going through the controller. There is more available if you go through the CLI but then you can sometimes run into issues on reboot

Since the AP lites don't use standard Poe power but ubnts passive 24v Poe you are probably best to use a ubiquity switch if you don't want to use any injectors
