Sorry for responding to an old thread, but it will help to understand why TRIM/UNMAP/discard are not valid operations for file sharing (NAS) protocols like NFS/CIFS.
Or, to look at it another way, with NAS protocols the server side manages the blocks, so NFS/CIFS get trim support...
Am I understanding this thread correctly -- someone is making an adapter to take a DisplayPort signal and convert it to 40 pin eDP? Where can I get just the adapter? I have one of these LP129QE1-SPA1 panels but no way to use it with a PCI-e video card.

Thanks for this thread, I just used this undocumented feature to turn my 2x1TB RAID1 into a 3x2TB RAID5.
Of course it would have been faster to just reformat since the rebuilds and expands took a few days, but where is the fun in that? :cool:

I was considering a Logitech Harmony One, though I am disappointed that it is IR and not RF.
I have been using a cheap MCE remote for awhile. Some of them can do power and volume for your receiver too.
To make AC3 work properly, I had to add this to /etc/asound.conf:
pcm.!default {
type hw
card 2
device 1
}
This should work for all users, including the MythTV user.
