i can't exactly reply to that, because COD4 is the only game that shows up the fps. i mean, don't get me wrong, they all run smoothe when my internet isn't acting up. but besides that, i run at 1680 x 1050 with 2xaa in COD. and its inconsistant you can say, fps turns red yeilding that its low at...
lol, its useless to say, but it MIGHT help. i underclocked my memory clock by around 50mhz, crash never occurred since. that MIGHT help, but why buy a graphics card (with stock settings) only to underclcok to get the dman thing working, am i right?
i've tried that before. but crash still occurred. maybe i have a faulty card, id ont' want to go through the trouble of having to send in the card. i mean, it RUNS fine dont' get me wrong, but it doesn't run as well as it should or as i expect.
as much as i can tell you, everyone on this board will tell you its unsufficient power from the PSU, which MIGHT be true. but i used to get the same issue with my 9800gtx, and everyone suspected my psu, so i got a new one, still didnt' solve my problem.
just did a 3dmark test. heres what i got, i don't know how to read it
P5704 3DMarks
CPU Score
7182
Graphics Score
5338
P29935 3DMarks
CPU Score
47590
Graphics Score
26640
wtf? that score looks bad
just a little rant. i've posted here before about my 9800gtx crash issues.i assume i fixed it by underclocking my memory by 50mhz, eversince no more crash presumes, i can overclcok the core clock and it'll still be fine. as of right now i have the current 175.19 driver. problem still arises, as...
i actually thought i fixed the problem. but turns that i might not have. since i have a 25.5" monitor, i thought i should use it to its full potential. majority of games aren't WIDESCREEN compatible, while running COD4 i had set it on widescreen before, i changed back to regular resolutions...
this really is a tough issue. haha, i don't know about windows, i'm running vista, it still crashed even before i reformatted it. DRIVER POSSIBLY, psu maybe not, i just got a new one. like i said, i've googled and there are others who have the same problem. lol i guess i basically wasted a good...
will look into it. but what gets to me is i really thought the 9800gtx is able to play majority of games at HIGH settings. i guess i might be wrong. or since my monitor is a widescreen, do y'all believe widescreen incompatibilities?
GG everyone! looks like the PSU isn't the problem, just bought a 600w thermaltake PSU. crashes still persist. ANYONE WITH A 9800GTX what settings are you able to run your games on? frankly COD4/CS:S. i have a 25.5" monitor so i set it to a low 1200x740 something like that, which is very low. ANY...
