Check in your BIOS, under Advanced, under System Agent (SA) Configuration, under Graphics Configuration, and change from Auto to PCIE. Perhaps when it is set to Auto, it isn't picking up the PCIE graphics card first and trying to output to the iGPU HDMI port on the mobo.

Asus BT400 seems to be the best choice that are showing in most Google searches. Better driver support than most of the generic brands and works well with older Win OSes. $22.99 with free shipping on Amazon Prime.
