Just got a PNY reference card and slapped a ek titan x block on it. Flashed the custom 425 bios and have been playing. Mine seems to top out at 1500. Anything over and it will get a driver crash. 1500 has been completely stable in benches and games. I have not seen it get over 45c even during a...
If anybody wants an absolutely flawless VG278H I am about to sell mine. It has no backlight bleeding, no dead or stuck pixels and still looks new and includes the 3D glasses which I never used other than to test them out with 3D Avatar (which looked incredible BTW). Still have the original box...
Well mine says out for delivery. Bought it from green-sum matte version. I hope I get a good one. Ordered saturday and here it is wednesday and it is out for delivery. That is quick shipping!
XFX 290 results VS flashed to 290X results.
Stock
290 clocked to 1000/5000
290 clocked to 1100/6000
290 flashed to 290X and clocked down to stock 290 clocks
stock 290X clocks 1000/5000
Clocked to 1100/6000
My XFX unlocked also. My core ends in 2000 which is a 290X core from my understanding. Cores ending in 2020 are 290 cores. I installed the accelero extreme III and my max temps are 58c on the core and 65c on VRM 1 and 47c on VRM 2. So I have a 290X that runs cool and quiet for about $70 less...
Yeah maybe I will test it first. I have to admit I am not a patient person and I like to get my hands dirty.
BTW I got the XFX card and they allow aftermarket coolers without voiding warranty.
Ahhhhh I gotcha now that makes perfect sense! My 290 should be here friday and I am going to order the Xtreme III now so it will show up at the same time. Not even going to install the card before I swap the cooler LOL. :D
I am a bit confused. You are using the supplied accelero aluminum heatsinks on the vrms? Where do you have the copper ones that you linked to above? I thought early in the review you said the accellero ones didnt cool well enough?
B.S. I had to return mine due to the terrible input lag. This is black ops II lag on the one I returned. I never dipped under 60fps so my input lag can not be blamed on fps drops.

It sounds like your mind is already made up that you want an ips panel. I just returned a flawless ips panel due to the input lag. I went from a top player in fps games to a bottom feeder. That is how bad the input lag was. Absolutely beautiful screen but if I cant game on it then it is no good...
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the Korean monitors are the only 120hz monitors that you can currently get and they dont all reach 120hz. On average most reach around 100hz from what I understand.
As for the GTX670 I seriously doubt you will achieve a steady 120fps in BF3 running at...
This is the Auria 27" ips monitor from microcenter. Absolutely beautiful stunning display!
BUT I am getting my azz handed to me in FPS games. I feel like it has input lag. I move the mouse and a split second later the character moves on the screen. I do not feel this with my old asus VW266H...
Ok so I came to the conclusion that this monitor has major input lag. I can move the mouse and a split second later my character moves. It is causing me to get killed a lot in black ops 2. I switched back to my old 25.5" asus and I started kicking ass again. Switched back and started dieing left...
