    GIGABYTE GA-965GM-S2 is on Newegg

Well, not me any more :D I used too overclock the old Celeron's with a PCI bus of 40MHz ish. All ran fine in my case. But, those were the old days.

    GIGABYTE GA-965GM-S2 is on Newegg

Must have missed that part. Wouldn't using a seperate SATA controller in the PCI-e slot be a work around? I have tried this, but the BIOS of the P5B-VM doesn't support booting from other devices. I haven't done any overclocking since I first wanted a system doing what it should, then...

Apart from a PCI lock we also need higher VDIMM then 1.95v

A BIOS without overclocking options is crap in every way imo. Using a Windows tool to overclock sucks ass. What's the point on overclocking then!? I want BIOS options, not some crappy piece of software. That won't work when I run Linux.

    Asus P5B-VM Memory Recs?

Indeed, better not too spend any money for at least a month now. If things don't improve, I am rebuilding my current computer case (TJ06) and buy a decent ATX motherboard *sob*.

Intel 965 based mATX boards are coming!

Yeah, looks like it. Either it's a motherboard with no PCI lock, decent voltage selections and a useless RAID controller, or it's a motherboard where you have to use a windows tool too overlock (shiver). Back in the old days (I suddenly feel very old) the motherboards were so much better...

Intel 965 based mATX boards are coming!

After reading the manual, the BIOS has absolutly no overlocking settings. You need too use their software utility too overclock it in windows. So, another crap motherboard imo then. Next too Windows I also run Linux. There is no such too for linux. I just want those settings in the BIOS.

    Asus P5B-VM Memory Recs?

The P5B-VM has a max VDIMM of 1.95V. My GeIL PC6400 2GB Kit works fine on it at 553MHz. The motherboard is crap. Unless Asus releases a proper BIOS version soon, I am goign too look for something else.

The manual is on the site now. Hopefully their RAID controller is a hardware one, so you can boot from it using linux.
