I really don't think you would hit the 1.5GB/s limit on SATA 1 ports if you switched to the other motherboard. I don't think you would notice a difference performance wise. overclocking and things of that sort change dramatically with the motherboard though.
i need 512 or 1gb of DDR400 memory in either 256MB 512MB or 1gb sticks. I really don't care if it over clocks well or anything, it just has to work without any errors.
