Best monitor for ps3/ps4?
I'm actually trying to decide between this 40 inch sony http://www.amazon.com/Sony-KDL40W600B-40-Inch-1080p-Smart/dp/B00HPMCO46/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1443497383&sr=8-1&keywords=sony+40inch and the Eizo FS2333. This is strictly for consoles. Any recommendations? -

Im looking for a monitor that'd only be used with the PS3/PS4 so refresh rate wouldn't matter. Obviously would like low lag and response time. I'm leaning towards IPS. I do play some dark games but am willing to play panel lottery if i can get one with light/unnoticeable glow. I've read many... -

Any chance you can post a pic of yours? Ive gone throughout two and tho one was a bit worse they were pretty similar (one came from amazon the other from microcenter ). The one i have is ok but if i could really get a much better one id go for it. Im just afraid ill start the lottery process... -

Are you sure there is no backlight bleed? Have you tested it with a totally black image in the dark? I have a June model and this is what it looks like in that scenario That's a little overexposed due to being a cellphone camera, but its obvious when playing dark games. Sort of... -

Well Resident Evil remaster and Final Fantasy 13 off the top of my head don't support 1440p. I might have others I dont remember. I guess if the new monitor's have good scalers itll be all good. -

Old Mits 2070sb CRT WAY too dark.
actually only issue is colors still seem just slightly dull, but maybe thats because im use to LCD? not sure. White is like kind of an ugly white...on my lcd its super WHITE, on this its like a slightly dimmer/ugly white...but the blacks are definitely fixed. -

^^^ I fixed it I think!!!. I just had to use the "constant" brightness setting and it did something weird where the screen slowly turned red and slowly got bright, then green then blue then all over again...thought I broke it. But now I can see all these squares (besides the first) here... -

black, and both constrast and brightness are maxed. Windows 7 detects monitor as non-pnp. I dont know if thats related to the issue. -

VG278H vs Eizo FG2421
My issue with the ROG is it seems to just have a Brightness and Constrast setting on its OSD and if its like brightness setting on my current Asus it's not a real brightness setting but a backlight setting. So if the monitor by default is too bright or dark, and I play a game that forces Windows... -

Hello I've had this vg278h screen for awhile now, and although it's great for 3d, 2d is just terrible. It doesnt have a legit brightness/gamma setting in the OSD (its brightness setting is just the backlight) and I can tell the colors are a bit dull, but not sure what I'm missing compared to...
