Thanks for all the input everyone. I'll probably pick up a mac mini instead. With the savings, I've realized that I can pick up a decent gaming machine for around $900. Since I already have a 28" monitor, it makes the decision much easier. Thanks again! Sikkyu - I think you have the...

Yea, I already expected that. :) I'm also getting the impression that no one on this particular forum wants to "out" themselves as gaming on a iMac...

Hi guys - I did a search on both the Apple and this forum and didn't find much information (that probably already answers my question). I'm moving toward purchasing an iMac 27" for reasons/applications other than gaming. However, II'll always be a PC gamer in my heart... Im wondering...

I hope they go for a more realistic approach than Blazing Angels. That game was abysmal.

...and it looks fantastic. I regularly play both PC and console games. IL-2 1946 is a PC game I keep going back to. The console version looks like it could be a winner. http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/19288 and a nice preview from 1up: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3168157

This is probably going to sound like I am a viral marketer, but I thought It was fantastic on the 360. If you haven't played it yet, I would recommend it. It is not without flaws, but it is a great game with a compelling story and superb dialog.

I would imagine they are touched up a bit. Even so, I don't think they will be far from the final game. The dithered view distance looks kind of cool (GTA4 does this now). I'll definitely pick this up.

I saw this on Steam and was thinking of picking it up. I played it quite a bit (especially with the FK Mod) back when it was released but lost the cds... Just wondering if any of you still play and if there are enough servers out there to still have fun online.

Just picked up the Hannspree 28" at BB and had a chance to use it all weekend. I was coming from a 19" widescreen with a max resolution of 1440X900 with the worlds worst contrast ratio. I am officially blown away by this thing. I primarily use it for games, and this takes it to the next level...

No one mentioned Divine Divinity? The first one was great. Not sure about the sequel since I never played it, but definitely try the original.

If there are so many of us in the early 20's and 30's, why are there so many asshats on every game I play?

This is similiar to Dawn of War: Dark Crusade in terms of stand-alone expansions. I think the price is fair: Two new campaigns, two new armies and with the ability to use the original two armies from COH makes this a great purchase. I played the hell out of COH (and still do). Never got in...

Heh, I remember putting a single F4 versus a bunch of ME-109's in Chuck Yeager's Air Combat. Good times.

"The Technology of updates makes us Strong!" :) Glad to hear you got it running.

This thread begins and ends with System Shock 2.
