Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 question - Ram clearance issue

Gaming Rig: i7-4790K with Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 Asus Maximus VII Hero Team Xtreem DDR3 2400 EVGA Geforce GTX 970 FTW+ Corsair AX860 PSU Case:TBD. I'm using my old case for now, but I'm kind of intrigued by the open air cases. On to the issue. There isn't enough clearance for my...

OK, major conflict here and I'm afraid I might have to get a new server...

I'll give it a try, they're still written for 2003 server though. Not sure how that would change anything...

Nope it was 1600 for the hardware itself. Which is a horrid ripoff. It only had 512 Mb of RAM, too. The wireless devices will only work with windows XP apparently. http://www.radiantsystems.com/hardware/handhelds.htm

Yes, I upgraded to 3 years, so if there's a problem, the downtime won't be much of an issue. Their desktop was a Pentium 4 which came out in 2000, and they wanted to charge $1600.

Apparently they tried that and they couldn't get the drivers to load. So am I SOL?

So it's pretty much as easy as getting the server 2003 drivers and just adding them to the installation disc? What I don't get is why integrating 2003 server drivers with the installation disc would work, but why I couldn't somehow make them backward compatible with XP post installation...

Good call, their tech wasn't able to get the dell drivers loaded, since they only were written for 2003. I'll try integrating them with nLite and see how that works.

OK, major conflict here and I'm afraid I might have to get a new server...

Ok So I'm getting an Aloha Point-of-Sale system at my restaurant. The server they offered was a Pentium4 3.2 GHz for $1600. So I decided to pay half that and buy a decent server tower. I purchased a Dell Power Edge T110, and it came with no OS. My task was to install XP Pro. They need XP Pro...

I'm at my wits end trying to install Windows XP Pro on my server server!

You guys have been a huge help. I'll probably just leave it in ATA mode. Thanks so much for the help, I was pulling my hair out and it just turned out to be a really simple solution; disable the damn controller. :)

I'm at my wits end trying to install Windows XP Pro on my server server!

Ok so using Bigdogchris's advice of putting the driver files into the utility's folder, then flashing the drive worked. But now I've run into a new problem. I hit f6 and it gives me 4 driver options. Intel ICH10R SATA AHCI Controller Intel PCHM SATA AHCI Controller 4 Port Intel PCHM SATA AHCI...

I'm at my wits end trying to install Windows XP Pro on my server server!

Problem is, windows 7 won't open up the driver after I flash it with that utility. It thinks it needs to be formatted.

Does it have a Sata controller card? It says "No Controller" at the bottom of the list.

I'm at my wits end trying to install Windows XP Pro on my server server!

OK, so I bought a refurbished DELL Poweredge T110 server tower with no OS loaded, for use in an Aloha Point-of-sale system. They require a Windows XP Pro installation. The specs are as follows: Baseboard Management Controller Onboard SATA, 1-4 Hard Drives connected to onboard SATA Controller -...

    Building a "server" for a Point-of-sale system

Actually I'm going to use these new proprietary handhelds developed by radiant (another company owned by aloha), called the orderman max 2. It's super durable, and simpler to use. It has some basic swipe and touch gestures for navigating on the top screen (which is a basic screen much like a...
