    cold weather damages computer parts?

    Cold is actually good for electronics because they can run with less resistance which makes their work easier. As long as they don't get condensation on them you should be fine. If you do get some condensation on them, you should be fine too but bring em in and let them dry before using.

    I use regscrub xp for registry problems, avg 6.0 free edition for antivirus, use bootvis to speed up start times, voptxp for defragging and various tweaks, and I also use Adaware for spyware
