    A few ideas... Was her computer a dell, sometimes their power supplies are wired different? Have you looked up what the beep codes mean on the old board? Did you plug in the p4 4 pin cable on the motherboard?

    939 AMDX2 AGP Mobo Recommendations?

    FWIW, I have 2 of the asrock dual-sataII's. Both are running opties at 2.8. They can be a little picky, but no more than any other board. This would also leave you an upgrade path should you choose to go to pcie. The problem is finding one. :rolleyes:
