Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I actually did update the BIOS! I didn't see any change directly after, but SOMETHING had to do the trick I'm just not sure what :) Must say I am a very happy boy. It was no fun coming to the realization that I wasn't going to get to play D3 after an hour and a half of Error 37 :P
Yeah for some reason that kind of sorted itself out as well. After about 20 minutes of gameplay it resolved. I guess I'll keep you guys posted if anything happens :) Thanks for all the help guys!!! I'll should be purchasing that RAM, SSD, and hopefully a new headset or keyboard!
Okay, so the different slots worked. Now Diablo is running fine, everything is actually really good now. Only thing is I now have times where I'll be getting over 100fps and then it will shoot down. Any thoughts on that? I think I am going to be switching out my RAM though and upgrading to an...
Soooooo, I ran the test on one stick and it passed. Took it out, put another in and the computer won't even boot now. It turns on and stays on, but my keyboard doesn't light up and the displays don't come on. I then tried the final stick, same thing. Put in the first stick again, and nothing...
Just got home and I'm gonna start with the RAM again. Haven't had any luck finding a PSU I could borrow just yet, and I actually have no idea where I could pick up a PSU in town (go to school in Pocatello, ID). I am sure there is some place in town, just not sure where exactly ;) Also, thanks...
Thanks for the article and instructions! I think I may have access to a PSU later tonight.
As far as software goes, I can't think of anything. Like I said though, this issue has been present for about 2 months. I don't get to do much gaming because of school, and it could have been an issue...
Other than replacing the PSU, how would I test to see if it is the cause of the problem? I'm not sure if I'll be able to find someone with a spare PSU substantial enough to even get my system running.
After waking up, the test finished and said no errors were found. I will be in class most...
Okay so it is currently running, and from what I found online it said that if all is well there will be nothing on the bottom half of the screen. Here's what I had after 10 minutes. I couldn't find anything pointing to the significance of what was being reported so I figured I would post what I...
I just have one of the Dual GPU cards, which can or cannot be run in XFire but I went from having 3 to 2 monitors so running them in XFire is an option now.
I have the 2GB version of the 4850 X2 so hopefully drivers will be up for the job.
Now I am asking this because honestly I am 100% clueless at this moment. Is 24 GB of RAM really necessary? I mean it's cheap enough that it doesn't necessarily matter but what kind of performance difference can I...
I should possibly clarify that by "top notch" I don't mean every setting set to the max, but decently high settings with little to no worry of things getting choppy.
So in your opinion, if I have the 4850 X2 in XFire, switched to that RAM, and upgraded to the SSD do you see any reason I couldn't expect top notch performance from Diablo 3? Because at that point I would really only be out the money for the RAM down the road, and I could hopefully get at least...
You are a champion among men my friend :)
Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the SSD, now if I find that the RAM is the culprit I may just go for new RAM and upgrade to an SSD. What RAM would you suggest for my current Mobo?
Yeah, in my other thread someone pointed me in the direction of the RAM. I'm going to be testing it and see what I come up with. If it does end up being the issue, what would you suggest as a replacement in my old build? Also, any suggestions for a decent Quad Channel set to go with the new...
