I am planning on buying a new computer, and i want to use my laptop as the monitor for it for space saving purposes. Both computers have S-Video Capability and my laptop has a port to plug a VGA monitor into also. Is this possible?

Also, I wanted to try and make it mini-atx so i can save space, considering i'm in college. Thanks.

Hey guys, I'm looking to build a system that I can run Linux on...are there any specific items i need to avoid or should i just make it like a windows one? Furthermore, I'm trying to keep it sub $300-400, got any recommendations?
