Smart Clothing Is Becoming Better at Collecting Our Data

And the best part? (citation from levis store) "Jacket designed to withstand up to 10 washes with the Jacquard™ snap tag removed; varies by usage and wash conditions." 10 washes. After that, what, another 350$$ "smart" jacket? :D

NVIDIA NDA & HardOCP - POLL

My answer is no. [H] is my personal #1 site about hardware, oc, and stuff. And that nda is too restricting, for upholding quality reviews imo. I know, that means a lot of hard earned $$ for 2080's, and some more in the future. But, I've just been convinced to support [H] on patreon. And it'll be...

Bootable PCI-E SSD's for legacy hardware?

I know, it's old topic. But just got newest upgrade. As title says, I've got that (Plextor M6e) working on pretty old workstation, with Supermicro X8DTH-if (i5520 based) mobo. It boots, it works, and it's faster than sata3 :) Probably, anything with own bios, will work properly.

AMD Radeon HD 7970 Video Card Review @ [H]

Thanks a lot :) Another great [H] review I know, that 7970 isn't needed for my current build, 6950 is sufficient. But, if eyefinity 2.0 truly delivers possibility of using 20-24-20 configuration (16x12-19x12-16x12)... I'll buy it at day one, gladly overpaying just for that one function :)

Help me find a motherboard for strange Xeons...

That's XeonMP, a rare beast ;) Probably X7460 Sure, that's S604, but simple 2 socket boards offer max. fsb: 800MHz, and aren't compatible with MP. There's a few boards that support them, mostly with 4 sockets, like: http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon7000/7300/X7QC3.cfm...

    x2 Opteron 6128 build no post :(

Almost there - it should be (* = lock, looking @socket in motherboard/card): 8pin PCI-E cables are: YYYB BBBB * 8pin motherboard cable: BBBB YYYY * With that psu, splitting cpu's on two different rails is recommended. I've used Akasa AK-CB051 PCIe to ATX 12 adapters with...

    The AMD Driver Bug Thread

In my case, 11.5 (non-hotfix) still got laggy. But disabling cursor shadow helps - everything working correctly. No mouse laggines in upper right corner cfg: win7x64, 6950 2GB, eyefinity 3x1

MSI Blows or Goes? The Wind Netbook @ [H]

Kyle: Thanks, great review, it was a pleasure to watch Just one thing - it'll be great to show how upgreadable that *book is, and what U personally consider "a worthly upgrade" in terms of $$ and usability. We know about battery, second GB of ram was talked here, but what about dvd player? or...
