    Awesome. It doesn't have to be nylon right? Can I go ahead and use rubber washers instead? Also how thick of washers are needed to fill that gap up? Thanks for your help, it really helps us.

    Comforting to hear the OP (who has same CPU, mobo, and cooler as I do) did in fact benefit from using the washers. I will go and try it out this weekend. OP, how many washers did you use btw? Did you use 1 per corners or did you use 2 per corners?
