BFI can be disabled but here's the thing, none of the input lag tests that have been done so far have been done at native resolution at 120hz so we still have no idea what the actual input lag numbers for PC use will be. Wait for the Rtings...

I'm in the same boat with the 1080ti. I haven't been that thrilled with it honestly, I hate seeing the 5700xt top our card when it clearly should not but Nvidia just optimizes for current gen. My R9 290 got faster as it aged, the 1080 ti is the...

I had the same options list as you. I think the brand new Asus VG279QM is the best option and it's only $350. IPS, 280hz, 2ms input lag, BFI, Gsync, and even ELMB-Sync. I just bought one and I love it. The review site below is the best one for...

IPS pixel response is now directly comparable to a 2 year old TN if you look at the TFT central review above. I'm coming from a 144hz VA monitor and I can clearly see the difference between 144hz and 280hz. The input lag is so low I swear it...

So I'm bored out of my mind and saw one of these on sale so I bought it. I agree with the Tftcentral review on everything. I'm extremely impressed by the motion clarity with Gsync off and BFI on at 280hz. I can still clearly see the difference of...

6ms is very possible based on what we saw at CES. They can't measure it because TFTcentral probably doesn't have the new version of the Leo Bodnar input lag tester that does 4k. The original Leo Bodnar was 1080p only.

Their monitor division stopped innovating which is really sad because Dell were at the top of the game for a long time. Gaming at 4k is extremely GPU demanding but that's your only option to get higher than 1440p on verticle res. You obviously...

That's exactly what I was planning on doing. My C7 is at 40 OLED light, with BFI on ultra I suspect 100 will be required.

If you read the rest of the article they say the input lag should about 7ms with a 120hz input. What I'm searching for is the following: Windows 10 + 2000 series Nvidia card + 1440P @ 120hz or 4k @ 120hz with BFI enabled on High setting. What is...

Dnice in AVS forum confirmed there are 3 settings for BFI: Low, medium and high. He said the high setting lowered brightness dramatically but that was almost definitely with a 60hz source. With a 120hz source like a PC the brightness reduction...

As long as my CX OLED doesn't get delayed I could care less what happens to monitors :D

151 is totally fine with me, I could go lower. The only time I really desperately need BFI is in FPS games: I can't use HDR anyway because of the increased input lag, can't use high graphics settings (increase input lag by nature of lower...

I can't imagine BFI at 60hz either but I could be verrrry happy with 1440p 120hz 5MS input lag and BFI on the high setting I think. Regarding higher refresh rates, you'd need a gpu capable of those frames which as far as I know doesn't exist...

The comments above about BFI+gsync aren't mine, feel free to follow up with the dude that posted them in the AVSforum thread. Your points against BFI regarding brightness are unfair and a tad dated, any monitor made in the last two years has...

With how my 1080 Ti is aging in modern games I'll probably switch back to AMD. Before the 1080 Ti I had an R9 290, that thing got faster and faster every year! I hope big Navi is a beast. From Techpowerup performance analysis of COD MW: "We can...

Watching the CX owners thread on AVS like a hawk, some folks already have the 55 inch. https://www.avsforum.com/forum/40-oled-technology-flat-panels-general/3119288-2020-lg-cx-gx-owners-thread-no-price-talk.html

LOL you have no idea... This is last part in over 30 hours of windows and PC config guides where you create a custom ISO with Ntlite. I may still try this but the amount of work is f'ing crazy.

Nope, not according to the testing Chris (dude that makes video above) has done. DX12 renders everything to full screen borderless. Edit: I suspect because there is a lot of pressure to have overlays. There's a whole community of input lag...

Hate to burst your bubble here gents but all DX12 games render Full Screen Exclusive just like Borderless fullscreen so you get none of the FPS or input lag benefits that DX11 had. I hate it but unless Microsoft changes DX12 that's what your...
