Got my Westinghouse LVM-37W3 37" 1080p display today!

Are there any 37" to 42" TV's that make acceptable monitors?
Interesting, never even considered LG. I'm going to replace my 37" Westy soon and I'm dreading going through the hell of finding something even remotely comparable. I was thinking of going with the 37" Samsung B530/B550 since it has the DVI-PC mode on the HDMI interface but I'm skeptical it... -

Mine was on a hardwood floor. I don't see how the desk can possibility be considered "solid" even on design principle alone. I'll have to disagree with the Jerker being a solid desk. I got rid of it for this reason, you just graze it and everything is shaking. It is versatile though I'll give it that. Anyway my 37W3SE is still running well without problems after a year. I'll only replace it if I can find an LCD... -

windows 7 made my old ssd write faster! why?
I have a 120GB OCZ Vertex drive and Windows 7 (7100) did not turn off Superfetch, I had to do it manually. It did disable defrag. To take advantage of "Trim" in Windows 7 requires that the drives firmware supports it as well. OCZ will have new firmware with Trim support very soon. Not sure...- paranoyd

Win XP... is there a way to save window layouts?

A friend of mine has a 37" sharp and it's far from crisp, DVI to DVI. No matter what we tried we could never get it to look like the westy. Also threads I've read on avsforum suggest that due to Sharp's pixel layout differing from the standard square screen door pattern doesn't make it a great... -

If sharp text is important then the Westy is your only option. I've been through a lot of sets and they all fail in this regard... Sony, Sharp (the worst), Toshiba, LG, etc. The only sets I have not tried is the Samsung's. At the time I could not get over their ugly cabinets but I would buy...
