Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
http://download1.msi.com/files/downloads/uti_exe/vga/MSIAfterburnerSetup300Beta12.zip is how to OC and unOC, I would just pop the card back out when you are done playing any PhysX games.
It's a way to save money since nVidia is overpriced for their performance (they have a $1000 "Titan" if...
Actually a lot of newer Games use PhysX like Alice2, Batman2, BorderLands2, and the brand new this week Metro2:LastLight. The latter is the most hardcore-requirement game to come out, next to BF3
And the older: Cryostasis, Dark Void, Darkest of Days, Mafia2. Metro2033, MirrorsEdge...
Just Like BorderLands2 they made a custom block programmed into PhysXCore.dll:
But it won't let you delete or replace that file or it won't load. This is because it is an online-only type game. BorderLands2 let's you delete it. They both let you do the required delete of PhysXDevice.dll
I...
No TVs can play the Hobbit in 3D (48fps) thus, they are all a TOTAL waste of $$$
The HDMI 1.4b standard was finalized IN 2011!!!!:mad::o
I have to be limited to 27" and using [Displayport 1.1(or dualDVI)]
It doesn't check PhysXDevice.dll(the relevant file --delete and it runs/stays gone) So it is similar to BorderLands2 in that it has unique-to-this-game code in PhysXCore.dll that prevents hybrids specifically. However, unlike BorderLands2(whose PhysXCore custom disables all dedicated GPUs, even...
Did you try replacing PhysXDevice.dll from ProgFiles dir? Since you said that doesn't filecheck and that is the only Hybrid relevant file (the others are removed for performance purposes)
Yes, it works for every game, in the Hawken game directory near the .EXE you need to remove
1. NxCooking*
2. cuda*
3. PhysX* (except PhysXExtensions.dll)
Then run:
1. PreHybrd.exe
2. "Repair" install PhysX.MSI in the Forceware extraction folder
3. Right-Click "Run as Admin"...
For people having trouble:
1. don't forget to delete PhysXDevice.dll in the game dir
2. You don't need to run 1.05ff ever
3. the panel is unnecessary, won't work without a monitor plugged into the PPU, start the nvidia windows service to access (or set to auto-start) Hybridiz sets to disable...
I usually use Google Wallet for donations, PM me if that isn't good for you.
Yeah, at 3.2TeraFlops OCed, the 5870 has more raw processing power than at GTX680(3.1TF!) go figure. Of course with 128 texturing units (~128GTexels) compared to 80 (~80GT) the GTX can antialias 37.5% faster, but...
Well, there are no games with PhysX v3 planned to come out yet, it seems even looking up to a year from now, so if you want to play Batman2 or the upcoming BorderLands2 (Red Orchestra2 and Hitman5 are CPU-only apparently) that are all on v2 you will need it.
Plus, by the time PhysX v3 games...
The Saphire Toxic 6GB 7970 has two Mini-DisplayPorts, I think you just get a mini-to-full DisplayPort cable supporting 1.2?
I agree that it's totally needed as the best cheap HD3D monitors require this for 120Hz.
Did you try overclocking to 986/1300MHz? Works better that way.
If you look at TeraFlops a stock GTX680 would be a 0.1 downgrade! 7970 has 3.7TF and yours has 3.2TF.
I would wait for the "BigKepler" GTX685 coming out in October with 4.1TF 2048SPs and 512-bit VRAM(384GBps) according to...
