    $50 + shipping: 48 Core Opteron 4P rig

I know it's only two years late but I can give you some preliminary numbers. I just loaded ESXI 6.5 back onto it. Booting was ~350-415 W, idle ESXI (no workloads) was ~257 Also, finally got some RAM for it. Populated it with 32 x4GB dimms

Opteron 16 Core 3.2Ghz 6380 Engineering Sample Unlocked CPUs

toast0 Might be worth a look and actually cheaper shipping overseas than from within the US.

    Importing W10 Hyper-V VM's into VMWare Workstation Pro 16

Got bounced around a few times but did find the download for Converter 6.2.0.1. It does require a vmware account to download though-...

    MS Office 2021 Pro - Techspot store - $35

I found open/libre would still run into issues with formating when opening some MS docs. This is the price I would be OK paying to use it and is nice to have on hand. Thanks!!

    $50 + shipping: 48 Core Opteron 4P rig

If you know anybody. Only thing now is I'm pretty sure shipping is going to be stupid. I want to say it was 40-50$ when I got it from you. I checked Fedex to Washington state yesterday, if it'll fit into one of their flat rate boxes under 50lbs, it's 35$ but if it's retail, it's 150$!!

    $50 + shipping: 48 Core Opteron 4P rig

Going to bump this since it's the same rig. Would anybody be interested in this setup? I still have it and it does work, it's just not getting any use anymore. I did change it to 4x4gb sticks of ram as one of the og sticks failed I think. Also, I would have to see if I have a spare small...

OC an old 4770k with a few questions

I will second/third, whatever it's at, to de-lidding if you can. From what I understood at the time, the IHS was the issue, even repasting didn't do much due to gaps. I've been running de-lid with 4.2Ghz ?v. I'm not sure which one to reference, so here is a screenshot. I just let the Asrock...

Pfsense WAN load balancing CPU requirements

Thanks! That is good to know they don't work properly. dslreports says it cannot connect to all four test servers and that it's my fault :) I did try from 3 different browsers on 2 machines with the same result. Using my phone on mobile data, it did appear to work though. The rest of the...

Pfsense WAN load balancing CPU requirements

I agree with you, they have a much newer CPU and it's dedicated to pfsense. I don't see an issue either. I was looking at systems with the same cpu. All good. I'm just trying to give some data since it's mostly what you find on the internet/or guessing. I think I got it working, although the...

Pfsense WAN load balancing CPU requirements

I agree about the linear speeds, at least on this setup. But it is worth noting the age and specs of my hardware vs what you are using. No baremetal. On some hold HP gear running esxi. Unfortunately, I don't have the same speeds as you to test with but my Spectrum is 400/20 and Verizon is...

Pfsense WAN load balancing CPU requirements

Late to the party as usual, but you got me curious now about my setup. I was running active-backup with 2 carries since one was dsl. But I just got Verizon home internet which is comparable to spectrum. I run a pfsense virtualized on a xeon L5638. pfsense has 4 vcpu /8gb ram. Running a...

    WTB: ASUS DOMINUS EXTREME

If the 128 GB isn't a hard requirement on the Quest 2, I have a 64 GB I can part with. I've been meaning to list it and have been lazy. It's got maybe 10hrs of use and I have the silicone piece FB offered which hasn't been used yet.
