Official ASUS P8P67 Series Overclocking Guide and Information

Just wanted to share a few observations regarding the new 3602 bios. After inserting the new Intel 11.6.01030 rom and updating to RST 11.6.0.1702, I'm finding slower benchmarks with my RAID 0 array (non SSD). The reason why I upgraded was seeing occasional RST relate blue screens that...

Official ASUS P8P67 Series Overclocking Guide and Information

To answer my earlier question 3207 needed a few tweeks and stress testing to verify. But it's a keeper. Had to bump up the voltage offset from the previous version to get the same running vCore. Also a little DRAM timing tweak. And an interesting thing that I've only recently...

P8P67-PRO-ASUS-3207 for the Pro is out. Any one doing a high OC for normal running see good or bad with this release? Example: I ran x49 @102 with the 1606 release and had to wait until the 2303 release to twaek something close, x50@100 (my 24/7 setting now). Just curious...

    Best OC board for 2500k

but this is on sale right now for $159... ASUS P8P67 PRO (REV 3.1) LGA 1155 Intel P67 My Pro (Rev 3) runs an i5 2500K at 5GHz because it does, YMMV, for lots of reasons. Luck of the draw on the CPU as it is the only one I've bought. I'm just answering the OP question, not bragging. ;)

Official ASUS P8P67 Series Overclocking Guide and Information

When I first unboxed my P8P67 Pro and bench tested the components, I tried the Asus auto OC routines in the bios and Suite. They both pushed the BCLK to 104. Memtest 86+ quickly showed me this setting was worthless with repeated failures. Even though I'm lucky with my CPU, able to run X49...

Interesting. I had to back off on the BCLK setting while stressing with Prime95. But I didn't have to set it to 100. I'm running 102.1, Prime95 stable. Before I ran the BCLK tests I first verified my RAM settings with MemTest. First as the boot version, second with the Windoes version under...

    Intel MB - RAID problem

Have you run drive diagnostics on each HD? http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=615&sid=30&lang=en Updated bios with the the appropriate IRST driver? Does the array pass the IRST verification test OK? BCLK @100? I've run Raid5 on a Pro version board with four drives and no...

Check your math. From 1.432 to 1.440 is .008 and not .8. I don't see that using an LLC of ultra high at x49. We may have different boards, other settings at play, or even case cooling differences. Are you sure there isn't a background task going on? What's the load vCore?

lol, I still don't know what mult and temps you're getting...:D I guess you hit your goal of 5GHz. You say you are able to use both settings on "whatever" mult you are using. The second set will cause less stress and allow Asus to monitor temps on the VRM subsystem. And it makes the vCore...

Thanks again, I'll try that on the next release. I use a balanced Win7 power profile and offset VCore on water cooling and put the system on S-3 after 30 minutes. Most of the time the CPU is at 1.6GHz with a vCore of .992vt. I'd never run this at 5GHz "all the time", don't hard stress the CPU...

Sorry, I wasn't clear with that posted example, both are at defaults so VRM was on Auto and mult is at x37 for the 2500K. It's the max reading for vCore that I'm pointing out. I should use cisgo guy's great method of circling the point being made, my bad. This conversation is helping since...

Which is the point I'm making. Viewed differences between bios versions at the same settings. Here's default 1606 and 1804, p8p67pro. After cleared cmos, defaults 1606 1804 Again, I'm just trying to have a conversation here. I ran 1804 on every setting and won't do it again due to...
