Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks! That's true, I did not mention that I need it for graphics, so the GPU is imperative :)
But from the replies here at least it seems I can skip the fancy cooler, good to know, thanks for the replies!
Actually it is one of the few that do fit, there was a few posts about these in-between motherboards on here, and at least one that does fit, which had the same dimensions as this one.
Can't link to the thread now, I'm on my phone...
Hi!
A quick question: can I skip spending on the fancy CPU cooler on the below build, and just use the stock cooler that comes with the i5-4960k? Or will it overheat? I don't plan on overclocking for now.

WiSK, I think I might just do that :) all I can find is a swedish site listing it for 140euros, do you have a link to an EU seller from which I can order/pre-order? Preferably at a more reasonable price :)
Thanks!
Haha, that's always the story when PC-shopping, there's always a great piece of gear JUST about to be released, just hold a tiny bit longer :) I guess I can wait a few weeks, in the US they're out, how much longer can it be until we get them in the EU!
Thanks!
Phuncz, great catch, thank you! I saw many people saying they would use that so I thought it to be safe, but probably they are liquid coolers so it didn't matter to them. I found a rear blower from evga that should be fine (http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=02G-P4-2762-KR), and will...
As per the title, I've now picked the parts, and wanted to get a last sanity check that this will work and that I haven't made any mistakes that'll result in an impossible build. Lastly, I was wondering what a good way to air cool this, if I want a quiet machine that I will not be overclocking...
raymondo, great link tip!
Searching for the mobo that I know fits on the forum of tonymac's gave me positive results for hackintoshing, great!

Thanks! I've already learnt a lot from the replies this far, looks like it'll be a gigabyte motherboard then, http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4729#sp Ga-b85m-d2v seems to be the only one they do that fits. I didn't know abut kakewalk, thanks for that! Maybe they'll support...
Hi!
I do live generative visuals performance to accompany music, for which I needed a strong portable computer (www.vimeo.com/channels/onar3d if you're curious, although the material there is old).
The Ncase seems perfect since laptops are just to weak for what I do! I just got an Ncase M1 v2...
