    Will I Bottleneck A 6870?

Reformat sorted it. Works like a dream, much improved experience. Thanks very much all!

    Will I Bottleneck A 6870?

Gah, looks like I have horrible luck. 6870 arrived and got in about a half hour of gaming before the freezes and BSOD's kicked in--beginning to think it could be a power supply draw issue but from what I can tell the 6870 should draw less than the 4870. I'll try a reformat before I call it...

    Will I Bottleneck A 6870?

Yep. Feb/March I'll upgrade the whole lot--that's why I wanted to make sure the 6870 would last me past then. Doesn't seem to be a lot of new games pushing things like in the past (FarCry, etc). Good for consumers, I guess. :) This was my last serious build so it's good to see it lasted. I'm...

    Will I Bottleneck A 6870?

The 8500 is at 3.8 right now. That's what I thought. I'll definitely be upgrading the PSU on the rebuild so as long as it holds me till then I'm happy. Thanks a lot!

    Will I Bottleneck A 6870?

Afternoon everyone! I'm considering upgrading my graphics card to a 6870 in the next week or so and if possible I would like to try and delay a full system refresh for a few months. My specs at the moment are: Abit IN9-32X-MAX 4GiB DDR2 G-Skill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ (Micron D9's from memory)...

    P5E3 Premium problem

Yeah -- I've tried one stick of memory and two sticks in every possible combo. I've tried the E6600, a different PSU, different ram, different video cards. The only common thing has been the Thermalright HR-01 HSF I think. And yeah, the AUX power connector is in firmly. This is driving me...

    P5E3 Premium problem

Bump. Just got both the board and PSU back from RMA and still no go - powers on but no display output. Tried a Powercolour 4870, 8800GTX, 7200GS still no go. Also tried XM3X1024-1066C7 corsair sticks since I thought it could be the OCZ sticks -- no go.

    P5E3 Premium problem

Yeah I tried stripping it down to basics out of the case, it's a no go. I just put the CPU in my IN9-32X MAX and booted up in the same case with the same psu and graphics card and it's all good -- which narrows it down to mobo/memory. I mean neither the motherboard or the case have a speaker...

    P5E3 Premium problem

    Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my latest build :( I recently purchased: C2D E8500 (I believe the stepping is E0, SLB9K) Asus P5E3 Premium Wifi ocz3x16004gk (pc3 12800, 7-7-7 @ 1.9v, 2x2gb modules - uses intel xmp) Enermax Modu82+ 625W Antec P182 Thermalright HR-01-Plus in...

ABIT IN9 32X-MAX water cooled *help*

What... That would be totally worthless. Waterblocks are very intricately engineered to provide optimal cooling and flow. You can buy individual SB, NB and Mosfet waterblocks and remove the stock heatpipe setup completely. Or you could remove the heatpipe setup, provide alternative cooling to...

Would that be effective? They idle at 60ish for me.

ABIT IN9 32X-MAX water cooled *help*

What are you going to use on the PWMs when you remove the OTES to WC the NB/SB? I want to cool the NB as well, but I want to keep the OTES intact for warranty. :X

    Help! Sudden unkown overheat!

YES. Do not reuse it. Your performance will probably already be worse than air with the Nautilus, let alone with crap in your water.

    the Abit IN9 32X-MAX thread

Think I got the BSODs ;) Noticed there was an nVidia file common in all the dumps. When attempting to uninstall the nVidia drivers, I immediately BSOD'd. Got rid of them on the reboot, and reinstall without Forceware & Storage drivers - will see how it goes over the next few hours. :X

    the Abit IN9 32X-MAX thread

TT! I want to WC the NB, but I have to take apart the OTES to do that, or find an aftermarket for the PWM. I want to keep the OTES for warranty because I'm getting blue screens and not really sure of the cause (BIOS i'm pretty sure, but not willing to make that call yet). The HR05SLI is...
