Riverside, CA. That's about 30 or so miles away from a Microcenter located in Tustin, CA.
If there is any possible way for you to get out that way. You might be able to take advantage of a CPU + Motherboard combo deal with a 4670k + Z87 Motherboard, which can be had at $30 less.

Okay I think I have about everything I need to make the build

Using the ram recommended by Dangman, I changed the PSU after some research, Which got a passing grade over in a discussion at JonnyGuru.com, changed the case based on the review at HardOCP, also the...
The drive to Microcenter is about 45 minutes away. It's definitely worth it. Considering the CPU + Mobo combo discounts they usually have.
Also thanks for the Ram recommendation, I'll definitely swap for that.
In the future when I have more money I'll probably get a better Monitor to coincide...
Normally I do a $700 to $800 build, like the build in my sig for example. My Dad's PC is over 6 years and it's starting to show it's age, the newest component inside it is a replaced HDD because the original crashed so in terms of salvaging I can probably just reuse the HDD and DVD Burner...
Yeah it's definitely not the PSU, both Hardware Secrets and a discussion on the JonnyGuru forums gave it a passing grade, despite the high standards of HardOCP's review rating.
Used a DVI to VGA adaptor and tested the DVI video option instead of HDMI. Video came in perfectly fine.
I'm going...
A friend of mine recently moved from the UK to Brazil and since setting up his computer he's been having some weird video issues.
He moved about a month ago, which at the time I helped him build his new computer. The parts are not even 3 months old. Everything is very new.
I originally...
I never really got into overclocking much. I own a 7950 Twin Frozr (6/8 PCI PCI-E connector and the PCB is a dark brown), so I'm guessing this is on a reference HD7970 board?
I don't plan to mess with voltage. I check the ASIC in GPU-Z and it says the quality is 87.1%
I purchased the card...
In order to SLI/Xfire you must have two identical base cards i.e a HD 7950 with another HD 7950. You can mix brands such as a MSI 7950 and a Sapphire 7950, but both cards must based on the same reference model.
You can have two different graphics cards in the same machine, but this could...
It may matter to some people. Some fighting game enthusiasts and tournament players generally can execute moves that require frame input of 1/60th of a frame. Heck even some Arcade Bullet Hell Shooters like (Games like Gradius or R-Type) also have an extreme emphasis of being able to react to...
There is supposed to be a GOTY version of this game which includes all of the DLC available. Some may already know this, but I figure I bring to some people's attention instead of paying $12 for all DLC characters, and whatever else for Retro Costume packs.
Save your money and get the supposed...
Well I don't have a particular major OC on my Twin Frozr III. Only a 950Mhz Core and 1425Mhz Memory. Since I'm primarily have mostly an entirely stock cooled setup, I cannot go too crazy since I don't want to increase voltage levels.
I just want to get slightly above HD7970 performance while...
Good grief, I'm glad I bought a MSI TF 7950. It's topics like these that give good validation for my decision to pick up that card instead of a 7870.
I stress this because I usually somehow get screwed over on the decision making process, thankfully that didn't happen this time.
Well that's one thing for games already out, it's another matter entirely for Borderlands 2 which was just offered as a pre-order offer and just released.
Besides the point, people still save money by not needing to buy said games when they are included as a offer with a GPU purchase, of...
