Posted this in the other thread, but it bears repeating here. Titanfall without Titans is just another Battle Royale clone. It's missing the one unique thing that made Titanfall great (Titans) so I'll pass. Let me know when they have a Battle Royale game *WITH* Titans and I'll get in on that in...
I've got that same MB in a "retired" gaming PC... It's a older but stout board. Slots on it are PCIe 2.0 but it's backwards compatible. You could plug a 2080 into it would work just fine, if it burst into flames it wouldn't be because of your CPU/MB. :)
Previous poster (mda) is spot on, I'd go...
Forget war... People never change. The moment they brought in a no restrictions PvP mechanic into an online Fallout game this was inevitable. I'm surprised it took this long to see people hunted down like this in Post-Apoplectic Appalachia. It's like Mad Max with a Deliverance style twist...
The sad part about this is that when parents fill their kids wish of getting their kids a "Gaming PC" for Xmas, this is the crap they'll get. Like they mentioned in the video, your typical Walmart shopper won't notice this. Do the right thing and warn your non-technical friends to not buy...
I had a feeling Fallout 76 was going to be a turd when the question of "What happens when other players turn into trolls" came up... Took a hard pass and didn't buy the game. Doing refunds is the smart move and will prevent people from taking a stance of "I'm never pre-ordering from Bethesda...
And *this* is why this is the first Fallout game in a decade that I won't buy right out of the gate...
Mods? The type that don't break the game but expand it in incredible ways? Nope.
Solid story? When everyone is an online player... Probably not.
Massive settlements? Sure, that anyone can...
This is a great example of [H] calling out aptly described scumbags whose goal was to fleece the gaming community. It ain't easy being hard, but this is the type of journalism that keeps the gaming community from being ripped off, puts losers like this in jail and puts a smile on my face. :)
This is why [H] was/is/will be my first stop for real tech news. It must have taken countless hours to not only get the story out but to get it right.
Thanks Kyle, once again you've proven that you and the [H] are the backbone of the tech community.
Armed and ready to be driven by your friendly neighborhood Mark IV Cyber Commando. Just remember kids, if you're rich enough any video game can be made in real life. :)
I hate to say it but it seems when a company - ANY company - gets to a point when they think they can get away with it they'll deploy tactics like this to suppress competition. The payoff for success is a monopoly for the company and a huge payoff in stock options for the employees if they can...
Signed up just to say this.
I've been reading [H] for longer than I can remember specifically because Kyle calls it like it is, good/bad/ugly with no BS attached. Nv makes great cards now, but they didn't always. Remember the debacle that was the NV35 parts? Game specific driver optimizations...
