    help w/mobo/cpu $500. q's for i5 owners

just got told I can spend $500 for christmas, but I'm not gonna soak 'em for that much -gonna sell my E/8400 -780i tri sli mobo on ebay to cut the cost -so I pretty much can get the parts we all want i7 920 and a lower priced mobo/triple channel mem kit -most likely what I'm gonna do, but I...

I started noticing the shortages awhile back- http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1464893 -and since then, its just gotten worse -when I bought an evga gtx275 OC'ed about 3 months ago, I ended up paying $155. after rebates and selling the game downloads on ebay (sorry to rub it in)...

    EVGA 780i windows troubleshooting issues...

I have that same board and after windows updates, I found the only nforce package I could run without bsod at same spot as you was v.15.25 if that doesn't work, I'd say the only thing to do is an OS re-install -in the past when I've overclocked mem to far, my drives appeared to be bad, when it...

where did all the gtx 275-285 go?

nice find- although the 275 is in store pick-up only -I have to say this is very strange for these to be so short in supply so long after release -I noticed that at some retailers, the msrp now says $269, when it should be $249 - I doubt its because of new cards coming out as someone suggested...

where did all the gtx 275-285 go?

less than 12 hours later and newegg's back down to 2 evga gtx 275 896mb models and one pony - 2 evga gtx 285 1gb models for a card select people enjoy making fun of and say are crap, they sure aren't lasting long in stores -

where did all the gtx 275-285 go?

yeah, your right some are back -the evga is $35. more than it was a month ago ($229 + $20. rebate) and used to come with arkham asylum and crytostasis download -if you sold the downloads, like I did, was like $160. although I wish the 1792mb model was an option when I bought one -only $25 more...
