I'm sorry but I understand I'm supposed to see darker blacks on the monitors with matte bezels, yes? To me the glossy, darker bezel monitors look to have darker blacks for whatever reason. I'm also trying really hard to tell a difference. -

How are the black levels with these? I have $210 in gift certificates with amazon and I've been saving them for a monitor. I was thinking the asus pb27q (I think) but these are much less. Would this be a good idea... -

The glow is known as ips glow, there's a ton of posts on here about it as well as vids on youtube. All IPS and PLS panels have it. -

What are some "high quality" TNs?
Well after going to Best Buy and looking at their 27" tn panels, holy crap that's much worse than my 22" tn. I guess my choices are a korean ips, or a 32" tv. I'm looking for something to double for gaming screen/movie watching. I have another screen I use for web and such. I'd like that asus... -

Since IPS supposedly and generally have poor black levels and contrast, and also that horrid glow I see on youtube, what would be some better tn panels? They don't even need to be 120 hz as I don't really play fps games. -

Larger screen longer distance=smaller at closer distance?
If one were unable to decide between 27" or 24" @ 1080, would it be the same viewing area to your brain/eyes if you moved the distance accordingly? I guess the dot pitch is different, and that would affect small details in game and small fonts, right? -
