Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I've had mine for something like 10 days now. I wanted to allow some time to pass with significant use before I said anything further.
I'm damn happy with it. I was fortunate enough to get no visible defects on my unit. It's very responsive in games (both response time and input lag) and I...
Ok, got mine set up and have been playing around with it for a couple of hours now. I by no means have the expertise to be able to say anything dependable to you all, but I'll give my impressions nonetheless:
My previous LCD was my first, and I was quite spoiled by it - the NEC 20WMGX2...
Whoa. Apparently "free ground shipping" through HP = I get it in 24 hours. Nice surprise, no doubt. Now I just have to suffer through 8 more hours of work before I can take this guy home.
I realize that it's in the nature of internet/tech nerds to scrutinize every single potential flaw/failure in a device - I've been known to be one of them. But at some point you just have to let go and enjoy what's in front of you. If you want a flawless production monitor, then you have...
What can I expect in going from an NEC 20WMGX2 to this monitor? I mean, aside from gaining 4" and a higher resolution.
This NEC was my first LCD, bought based on ridiculously positive reviews. It cost $600. This ZR24w costs $175 less, and it's way bigger. So that tells me that my NEC is...
To all of those people taking the plunge before reviews get published...
We salute you. (and hurry the hell up and and post screenshots when you get your new monitor in)
Mastercheif,
My actual advice would be to get the monitor in your hands and see if you can find some settings you're happy with through self-calibration. You might think the monitor is perfect from the get-go. You can always rent a calibrator afterwards if you think it looks out of whack.
lol, wow... I don't have an "asshat" fiber in my body. Sorry you COMPLETELY misinterpreted the tone of my response. Good lord.
It was very black and white. He's asking us if he should rent a calibrator for his new monitor. That's like me asking a stranger if I should go ahead and buy an...
Hard to answer that for you. Do you think you will care that much about the color accuracy? Did you care enough to properly calibrate it on your current monitor?
/sigh
As stated earlier today, the mention of "Feb 1" has now been replaced with "coming soon"
Hopefully sooner than later. I'll keep on eye on their website.
I'm personally anxious to see this monitor for a few reasons. I've been gaming/surfing on 1680x1050 for several years now and I'm ready to jump away from my 20" panel. There seem to be relatively few non-TN options at the 23-24" range. The Dell U2410 seems to be extremely hit-or-miss with QC...
