I have two 2.3g v2 running on Supermicro's X9DAi board. Last night, I turned the NUMA to OFF and the same unit ran 10% more time, from 7'26" to 8'10" than the ON option.
I do not use the OCNG bios on my 6272 systems. I installed Ubuntu 10.10, tpc 4.22 and run -psmax 1. The 6272s start to fold at 2.4G, rather than at the default 2.1G.
If your ES can adjust the multiplier in the bios, that is very good for overclocking. The tear's OCNG bios does not allow...
Firstly I installed the 10.10 (desktop) with an USB. However it seems that the installation manager of 10.10 failed to recognise the intel lan of the motherboard. Therefore no updates of 10.10 were downloaded during the first installation.

You can use the Update Manager in the Ubuntu 10.10 to update the OS to the latest, which will take several hours. After rebooting the machine, all the problem solved.

When I built my first 6272, the same problem appeared. Please update the 10.10 to the latest. Restart the machine and all the problem disappear.
