Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
IBM/Lenovo definitely. I have used several different models at different jobs. I have supported both Dell and IBM hardware at my job and by all means prefer the IBMs. IBMs can handle much more abuse than your typical Dells.
The Macbook would be another great laptop however that's above your...
ahh thanks. I need to correct what I said, I took it to work and it still made the noise at work. I tinkered with it a bit with the VM tech support, the sound was still there. Later on the day I checked all the connections and power cycled several times and the noise went away.
PFM? What is PFM?
I doubt it's dirty power since I brought it into work and plugged it straight into the wall. The problem occured at, her place, my place, and my work. I do work with computers for a living. ;)
On my SD500 and GF's SD800, I purchased a high-speed SD card and the delays were noticeably less. It's strange since I've read that it shouldn't really make a difference but I decided to try it out and it did definitely speed things up. I went from an ATP normal speed SD card (1gb) to a...
Sorry for the late response. Not sure exactly what the issue was. I contacted VM tech support on the phone, we checked various things, loose components, stopping each fan, etc.. It was deemed it was most likely either the PSU or the Mobo. I intended to swap out the PSU since I had extra at work...
Apple Customer Service is great. Haven't used the Zune though, so can't comment on that. I'd get an Ipod mostly because I already have a couple (5g 60g vid, 1st gen Nano).
Pricey @ $119 retail but I'm going to get the Jawbone through a hookup (sorry, can't share). :(

Rather frustrated right now, this is my gf's PC and we've had nothing but trouble with it.
Just received the PC back from Velocity Micro to get it serviced for a high pitched ringing noise and it's STILL there. We ordered the PC in October, the computer did not come until late December due to...
Yeah I can't adjust the vcore. It will not let me. I've tried everything, the manual doesn't even have an entry to explain adjusting the vcore.
The most I've gone up to without locking up is FSB 295. DDR 1.95 1.55 NB.
My board doesn't have too many options. Anytime I set over 295 CPU FSB the display won't come on. Post does not make any beeps, it just seems to hang there.
Is it because I can't modify my CPU's Vcore?
Basically all here is what I can set:
DDR Voltage: 1.8
NB Voltage: 1.55
Spread Spectrum: Off...
Not sure how well my setup will overclock. Unfortunately it's some old stuff with some new stuff. Pretty new to overclocking, can someone point me in the right direction or possibly let me know what settings to use?
CPU: E6300
CPU Cooling: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Motherboard MSI 945P...
If you have 11,000+ PCs, most likely some of them need replacement. I would consider looking at which ones need replacement and see when you would replace those PCs. If you are considering replacing those PCs anytime soon, you'll most likely get the OS of your choice pre-loaded. It will save you...
