Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

The SECOND new HD arrived today, directly from the UK. This time the part and model number were correct, but the firmware was different. The last drive had the same model and firmware, but different part number.
In any case, I swapped out the circuit board and voila!!!!

There are no jumpers on the drive. It's all SATA.
I've checked and re-checked the SATA cables from the drive to the motherboard. The slave HD and DVD drive are found just fine.
Alright boys.
The transplant arrived on time, brand new and identical.....even down to the firmware version.
I swapped the circuit boards, which couldn't of gone any smoother.
I plugged the new drive in and turned the PC on......it starts! Now we're getting somewhere!
The drive IS...
Ok... the new drive should be delivered this morning. All I pray for is that it has the same firmware.
The surgical table is ready and prepped. I'll let you know when I go in. ;)

If the enclosure doesn't work I can try and...
I've been reading around and have another idea. Since I can't get the drive to power on with the power supply and the circuit board doesn't "look" fried, can I hook this drive up to an external usb HD enclosure and get all my data off it that way?
Is that at all feasible, opposed to...
Well, I just ordered the same drive and all. Hopefully it's identical down to the firmware.
I've got my fingers crossed hoping swapping the PCB will do the trick and not be too complicated.
