Hello again, I fixed my CPU clock speed by resetting the CMOS. I re-did the entire cleaning HS and proc and reapplied the thermal compound...CPU temp is now 69 instead of 88...- nynex

Hey, removed the old stuff that was on the heatsink and processor using vodka... then I put some thermal compound on.. But now it says I have an 1800+ processor any ideas? I think...my computer may have been having this problem for over 2 years since I built it. I just never checked into it. I moved away stopped using it, recently started using it again as I just got internet after not having it for 2 years. Now it's just annoying me.- nynex
