    Yep, while it's good for preliminary testing, and generating heat, it's not a complex 3d application, and shouldn't be used as a sole method of stability testing.

    Furmark is a poor measure of stability. Try playing graphically intensive (specifically shader intensive) games. They'll be the best way to make sure it's stable.

    The safety of unlocking all depends on which BIOS you use. If you use an unlocked 6950 BIOS, you shouldn't have any problems. I haven't heard of anyone killing a card as a result of using one.     6950 shader unlock with no overclock/overvolt bios?

    Stick with modded 6950 BIOS' IMO. I (along with a few others) hosed the vram on a Sapphire card by flashing a 6970 BIOS.

    Flash a BIOS from a vendor who hasn't played with the VID numbers. My XFX card overvolts fine. IIRC Sapphire was one of the vendors who changed the numbers, not sure about any of the other ones though.
