    Awful drives - i've been through a number of them. OCZ gave them to me as RMA replacements for my faulty Vertex 2's (also awful hence the replacements). Bottom line is, if it's only a week old, don't RMA it, send it back DOA it and buy a proper SSD (Intel or Samsung imho). There's a reason...

    I would disagree wholeheartedly. I have been running 5 2TB WD20-EARS in a RAID5 on the back of my P9X79 Pro and have not had an issue at all. The reason green drives or any other 'non-RAID' drives are no good on the hardware raid boards is because of the TLER (Time Limited Error Recovery)...

    Speak to someone like ontrack and see what they can do. You're looking at around £500 for recovery and the quicker you stop playing with it the more chance you have of recovering it. They usually charge an investigation fee (around half of the cost) and then let you know what they can recover...
