what is the most efficient PSU?

Isn't it the picoPSU? Granted it won't power much of a rig but for efficiency it rocks :)

help with chosing a silverstone PSU...

If you want modular, get the enhance-built 600w. If you want the better psu then get the etasis built 560w. It can't be simplified much further than that.

Is this a good power suppy

For a '500w' psu it sure is underpowered when it comes to the 12v rail. edit - If you are intent on not spending a great deal on your psu, I had a look around that site and for $5 more than your initial choice, I think you would be far better off with this psu: http://svc.com/rs-430-pcar.html...

help with chosing a silverstone PSU...

My understanding is that the Z in the name indicates it is an Etasis built unit, which means you'll be getting a fantastic psu for the money. The beefy single rail might also be useful with the upcoming transition to power-hungry 1st generation dx10 cards.

will 300w psu support 6800ultra video card

Is that figure inclusive of the 46w (I was thinking 77w + 46w = just under 125w) provided by the agp slot? If so then oops :( At least that would mean it is even more likely to work with his psu!

will 300w psu support 6800ultra video card

Jonny's big list says acbel make some psu's for asus. And if it is one of them, they have 300w models with either one 12v rail with a max of 14A, or two 12v rails at 14A + 17A but no figure for max combined amperage. I believe the 6800 ultra draws just under 125w total between psu and...

    Some questions

OK, well I've done lots of reading around, but there are still a couple of things I'm struggling with. 1. I'm in the market for an efficient psu, and ideally I would have liked to purchase the silverstone st50ef-plus, but I can't find it for sale anywhere in the UK. Someone did mention that...
