Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
This thread is pretty much completely useless since all the cards have different stock clocks from 1500 to 1800 and all these +90 or +200 give absolutely zero information. So did you go from 1500 to 1590 or from 1800 to 1890? See what I'm saying. At least post your default clocks. Jesus... 7...
I already finished it, it's one of the most optimized games ever. Runs at 100fps even on a microwave display. I just played Gothic 2 (circa 2000) and it's very smooth, so Freesync is on. My monitor shows a foot wide note "Freesync ON" whenever I turn it on and the driver says it's on too...
FC-P is not even the most demanding game and according to benchmarks it favors AMD... It's averaging about 50 fps and on paper it's a very good result. On paper.
I don't think my 970 was all that much faster in 1080p fps-wise... But I had 27" monitor then... I think 580 is giving me higher or...
Had really high hopes for 580. "Upgraded" from a 970 on a 1080p 27" to MSI Gaming X, 580 OC'd to 1450/2200 on a 32" 1440p monitor... meh. Not impressed with it at all. Playing Far Cry Primal on ultra gives not a really smooth playback. It's about 40-50fps average but on a large monitor any...
Did anyone succeed in installing graphics card air duct with GTX 580?
I remember I was having a hard time putting it in, and then decided to abandon it for better time (was too eager to start playing the new computer than messing with stupid plastic).
My system has 3 HDD, and way too...
I play at 1920 (how many people use 2560 - 3 or 4%?). In some games that 10% difference is the difference between playable and unplayable (Metro2033 comes to mind). More upcoming games will be more power-hungry. The reason I'm buying 580 is because I want the most powerful 1-gpu card. I don't...
If anything Nvidia can raise prices. All the morons (even skeptical ones like me) who waited for 6970 naively thinking it would match 580 performance (despite long history of ATI sucking Nvidia's balls with maybe one or two, very old, exceptions) will now run and buy 580s so if anything, the...
Newegg barely has one card at a time, overpriced too (and you pay for shipping, making it pretty bad deals). Any other stores that sell them for 499 with FS?
Oh come on, anyone with IQ over 60 can figure out this article. Give it another try.
If these results are true, the 6970 is a stinker. It's slower in almost all games, but in DX11 and some games it barely delivers half the frame rate of 580. If you think that at $379 it's a bargain, think...
There were some news lately about "announced" Cayman prices. 6970 = $450, 6950 = $320. Means these products will be performing accordingly (5-10% slower than their competitor each).
Again, according to this review (in broken english) SB is not worth waiting. Also, more likely than not, CPU+MB will cost a lot more than current 950 combo, so the little performance difference is not worth it.
