    Q6600 Bottleneck

    Even at 3.6GHz my q6600 was bottlenecking a gtx570 in skyrim (with the setting turned up and a lot of graphics mods). I gained 5 to 30% frames/s depending on the area when I switched to a 3570k at 4.6GHz.

    You just need to run higher settings/ more graphics mods/ higher resolution. Its also a bit of an unfair comparison since most games are so poorly threaded.

    I have yet to see one that will do more than 1920x1080@60 hz, which is frankly terrible.
