    I have an evga 8800GTS and have been having the exact same lockup issues as you. I can complete all stress tests (Prime95, memtest86, orthos, 3dMark06) without problem. As a matter of fact, I can even play games sometimes without problems. But other times, games will crash less than 5 minutes...

    No, ventrilo is not a common factor. I have Intel Desktop Utilities installed right now. I have had RivaTuner running before. Thanks for the tip on the automatic restart. Next time I'm gaming I'll at least be able to get an error report that can hopefully narrow down the problem.
