Finally decided to get a GTX 1080 ti (EVGA SC Black Edition). Maxes at 72C so far with one 140mm intake fan at the bottom. My CPU did get hotter though and goes between 68-74C.
crap... just realized 1080 TI FE doesn't have dual-dvi. Can't use my monitor :/
Anyone tried MSI Armor? I read that MSI doesnt void warranty for using third party heatsink, so I'll reuse my Accelero IV.
p3z I think I may pull trigger on EVGA 1080 Ti SC BE. Quick question on your temps. I just stalked your posts to find temp data. Just wondering. Do you always keep your case open? Did you keep data on temps without bottom fans + closed case? I checked your pics and the case was open.
Havent...
You have the 1080 Strix (non-Ti)? I wonder how the temps are with the Ti. You said you're reaching about high 70's C?
You can add some foam-ish material on the sides of the fan in between the GPU heatsink and your bottom fans. That way the air would pass through the heatinks and not from the...
I'll keep an eye out what you decide keeping. I was willing to spend the extra on the Strix thinking it's the best one for the ncase, but will hold off for now. I'm hearing about people taking off the fan+shroud and using 2x 120mm fan exhaust at the bottom. Though I read that some people got...
anyone here using non-Strix and non-reference GTX 1080 TI? What temps are you getting? Strix is 10% more expensive than the usual, but I think it's also the better coolers that fit the ncase.
Just finished testing my rig using both my old PSU and the Corsair SF600, but with a 6870 since my 290X is dead for sure :( Everything went fine. Voltages and benchmark results are very close. Took a video showing that everything works. 290X definitely has more power draw than 6870, but at least...
Several people are hinting to me that my Corsair SF600 might be the culprit for my video card dying + igpu problems. Finally have a chance to get a quiet SFF PSU and then this happens. This whole thing is very discouraging and I might just give up on ITX and move back to micro ATX. At first it...
I'll try it with my case opened and see how the temps go. If it's the same then it's the card. Otherwise then my case has just really bad airflow.
I'll double check too to see if it has warranty. Replacing video card TIM has always helped me in the past.
sad story for me today :( My 290X died as I started running a benchmark (3DMark 11 to be exact).
I sidegraded my PSU today from Antec 750w Platinum to Corsair SF600. Also upgraded my i5 2500K to i7 2600K. I've been running 2x outtake Noctua fans with Arctic Cooler heatsink on my 290X for a...
